My first two posts were immediately after coming from India and I was kina OK then...but the week that followed was disastrous...missed home and parents terribly...lost interest in everything and my bad luck i had to start work immediately...I've never felt this lonely before...just a week before there I was surrounded by so many people and now i m all by myself...there was a sort of Vacuum that was created around me and did not even feel like talking with my friends too...awwwww..I m finally glad that it is over...and thankful to all my friends...who put up with me for my behavior...and yea now i m back to my normal self..(or atleast i think so...)..hopefully i will not lapse into one of those moods again.. :-)..Listened to this song by Subramaniya Barathiyar called "Ninnai Charanadaindhen and it really soothed my otherwise bad mood...I remeber this funny discussion i had with my dad when i was in India....he noticed my sudden predilection to Barathiyar's songs and told me that Barathiyar's wife was like my great grandfather realtive orsomething and I almost burst out laughing....Blood realtives...wooooow....I must'nt be staying in the US then...:-) and both of us laughed over it...The first time i listened to this song from the movie barathi ...was the version sung by Bombay jayashree..shes one of my all time favorites...THen i checked out to see if any of the bloggers have done a rendition of that song and came across Barani's Blog...excellent rendition...and finally i made up my mind that I m definitely singing this song no matter what...:-)
For people who are not aware of what the song means...I found this excellent translation in Vidya's Blog....Do check it out for sure...Meanwhile enjoy this and leave your comments :-)

Ditto as Rosh - Hopped from Poorni's blog...
You sing well and let go of the inhibition and open up while singing...will make it sound even better...
Actually there is no need to visit India to get into that kinda mode. Anything can trigger you. For a moody person that I am, I can get lost every now and then. And let me tell you, Barathi has a way to make you bounce back. I have been enjoying his words for a very long time now.
Thanks to my Dad for introducing him to me. And I do like this one too the way Raja has composed the music for Ninnai Charan Adaindhen in the movie. And also the way BJ has sung it. Its a lovely rendition. But somehow, in a few points Unnikrishnan seems to score over here in my books. I can feel the cry of the soul to submit more when he sings. :)
p.s.: I have been having some soundcard issues listening your song at work. Will have to do it at home.
You have got a very lovely voice. You have sung well. Romba nalla vandhirukku, the way you have sung. Good Job.
Awatts - Thanks for the comments...I'll remember that the next time sing :).
Vidya - Thanks a bunch for the comments..and I agree with you on the fact that barathi has a way to make you bounce back...Submitting your soul to someone...you feel like a big load is taken off your back :)
